THE QUEEN STREET BRIDGE.
(To the Editor of the, Evening Star.)
Sib,—Lookers-on think the Borough authorities Bre making a great mistake in making the Queen street bridge so much higher than the level of the street. The general opinion is that the structure is at least two feet too high, which will make the cost of it at least ±JOO more than it should be in extra filling, besides making an unsightly obstruction in the street. I do not know who is the engineer of the work, but I am confid%it that if the work is finished at its present height, it will be a great mistake, and my object in calling attention to it now is that there is now time to alter it, at a small cost for the alterations and a great, saving m making the approaches.—l Bm, &c,
Eabaka,
