A horse, with trap attached, bolted in Wellesley street today ; the trap collided with an iron pillared verandah, carrying it away. The occupants were thrown out and slightly injured.
Complaints are made of the irrererant manner in which pauper dead are buried : coffins are frequently placed in the graves half an hour before the arrival of the
clergyman
The winning numbers in Theodore Brown's £10,000 sweep were :—-Zulu 8675; Czar, 1233; Sweetmeat, 1841. The
names of the holders of these numbers hare not however been disclosed.
