This day. The Chairman of the County Council has telegraphed to Major Atkinson that the action taken by the Government re native affairs on this Coast meets with the unanimous approval of the settlers, and trusts Government will be firm, and bring the matter to a speedy and successful issue. Mr Bryce was heartily cheered on passing through here to-day.
