The leuding features of this Company will be to provide— let. -A superior Hotel with the comforts of a home, from which alcdholic liquors will be excluded. 2nd. A Large Room, where Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, Lemonade, Aerated Waters, &c, can bo alvvavs had, for the special benefit of the working classes at; a cheap rate, ao supplied in the Coffoe Palaces in England. 3rd. A Beet urant where meals of the best quality will be served in a clean and attractive form. 4th, Separate Dining rooms for Ladies only, Ladies and Gentlemen, and Gentlemen only. sth. A Billiard Room, Reading Room, and Smoking Room for social recreation. The marked success which has followed the establishment of what are known as " Oofi'ee Palaces " in England and various parts of the Colonies is well known. The absolute necessity for one in this city is recognised, and the promoters confidently believe that such an institution cannot fail to prove of great and immediate benefit to the comu. unity, besides being a financial success to the Shareholders. A very eligible site in the best part of Queen-slreet is now under offer to the promoters on very advantageous terms, which it is desirable to secure at once. The promoters feel that in an enterprise of this nature it is desirable to enlist the sympathy and practical support of all claesses, With this object in view, they propose to form the Company, with Shares at £1 each, so as to secure a large proprietary. The terms of payment are as follows :—ls per share on application; 2s per share on allotment; and the balance, if required, in Calls of 2s 6d per share at intervals of not less than two months. A meeting of Subscribers will be convened at an early date for tho Election of Directors, &c.
