The length of such race is two miles, or thereabouts, and it 3 intended course is sou'jh-west. The mean breadth and depth of such race is three feet by two feet; it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is four. Application has also been made by James Dahbow for permission to construct a Water Eaca for Mining purpO3<is, commencing at a point (marked A on the plan) at ford on the Ohinemmi river, about one mi'.e'above the Cwharoa Battery, and terminating at a point, (marked b on said plan) ■ about hulf-a-mile below the Battery. The length of such Race is about one mile and a-half, and its intended couvae is noi'th-ea3t and south-west: the meaa breadth and depth of such Race is 4| feet by 2 feet. It is capable,of carrying fifteen sluice beads of water, and the nuoiber of sluice heads of foriy inches each which it is intended to appropriate is fifteen, . Notice is therefore given that on fie 21st day of November, 1881, a Licenses will be granted to the above-named John McCombie and Jambs Daehow for the respective Watsr Races above described, unless valid objection thereto ba in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
