The leading features of this Company will be to provide— Ist. A superior Hotel with the comforts of a home, from which" alcoholic liquors will bo excluded. 2nd. A Largo Koom, where Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, Lemonade, Aerated Waters, . &c, can be always had, for the special benefit of the, working classes at a cheap rate, us supplied in the Coffee Palaces in England. 3rd. A Rest urant where meals of the best quality will be served ia a clean and attractive form. 4th, Separate Dining-rooms for Ladies only, Ladies and Gentlemen, and Gentlemen only. sth. A Billiard Room, Reading Room, and Smoking Room for social recreation. The inaricd euueess which has followed the establishment of what are known as " Coffee Palaces " in England and various parts of the Colonies j'b well known. The absolute necessity for one in this city is lvcognised, and the promoters confidently believe that Bueh an institution cannot full to prove of greut and immediate benefit to the comu unity, besides being a financial success to the Shareholders. A very eligible site in the best part of Queen-Btreet is now under offer to the promoters on very advantageous terms, which it is desirable to secure at once. The promoters feel that in an enterprise, of this nature it is desirable to euliat the sympathy and practical Bupport of all classses. With this object in view, they propose to form the Company, with Shares at £1 each, so aa to secure a large proprietary. The terms of payment are as follows :—ls per share on application; 2s per share on allotment j and the balaiiCf, if required, in Calls of 2s 6d per share at intervals of not lees than two months.
