The marked success which has followed the establishment of what are known as "Coffee Palaces " in England and various parts of the Colonies is well known. , The absolute jaecessity for one in this oity is recognised, and the promoters confidently believe that, such an institution cannot fail to prove of great and immediate benefit to the conm unity, besides being a financial success to the Shareholders. A very eligible, site in the best part of Queen*street is now under offer to the promoters on very advantageous' terms, which it is desirable to secure at once. The promoters feel that in an enterprise of this nature it is desirable to enlist tbe sympathy and practical support of. all olassset.
