(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sib, —A lettur appears in your issue of yesterday contradicting mine of the 13th instant, signed G. W. Bull, in which he states that my statement of the case is incorrect. I simply say lam prepared to stand by the statement made by me, and can pro?e the same to be correct, but as I have no wish to cast a slur on G. W. Bull, he will no doubt, in time, learn what the duties of ins office are. I simply ask him lo do his duty, and as he has neglected it in this line, I would ask him to put his name to the subscription list in the County office. I believe ifc will do him no harm, even though it is a breach of faith with his friend Councillor Deeble, and if the money is voted at once by them I will guarantee any deficiency to make up the £10 required for the purpose. I would also be glad to see Cr Deeble's name on the list for the same purpose. —I am, &c, W. S. GbeenviliiE. October 15th, 1881. ;
