The stuff,now going through the battery for this company has shaped much better during the: last two or three days, and some capital specimens and picked stone were obtained from the reef last night. The gold showing in them is of a leafy description, and is distributed well through the stone. „ ;■;■ KUBANUI HILL. j ■" Operations on the face of the hill are being carried on vigorously, and a large supply of quartz is coming to hand from here. That just sent to the mill prored poor, so the scene of operations has been shifted about a hundred yards further, south, and the dirt being crushed from here is shaping for a payable return. The contractors for cutting a chamber in the Albion' shaft are hard at work, and are making good progress. The manager has let a tribute to Forrester and party
on 'an old mullock tip opposite the
Moanatairi battery, and crushing is now going on for them. The battery continues to be fully employed by the company and tributers.
