IT is proposed to establish a Company for the purpose of supplying m loof felt in Auckland, both by residents and travellers, viz., a First-class FAMILY HOTEL, to be conducted on Temperance principles, in connection with which there ihall be Coffee and Refreshment Booms. The leading features of this Company will be to provide— ■ ( '. Ist. A superior Hotel with the comforts of. a borne, from which alcoholic liquors will be excluded. 2nd. The marked vuccfss which has followed the establishment of what are known as " Coffee Palaces " in England and various parts of the Colonies is well known. The absolute necessity for one in this city is recognised, and the promoters confidently believe that such an institution cannot fiiil to prove of great and immediute benefit to the community, besides being a financial success to the Shareholders. A very eligible site in the' belt part of Queen-street is now under offer to the pro* nioters on very advantageous terms, which it is desirable to secure at once. : The promoters feel that in an enterprise of this nature it is desirable to enlist the sympathy and practical support of all clatssef. With this obj-ct in view, they propose to form the Company, with Shares at £1 each, so as to secure a large proprietary. ->• The terms of payment are as follows:—Is per share on application; 2s per share' on allotment; and the balance, if required, in Calls of 2« 6d per share at intervals of not Irss than two months. A meeting of Subscribers will be convened at an early date for the Ulection of Directors, &c. ; Application for Shares may be made to Messrs Milne and White, Colonial Bank Buildings, Queen street, or to any member of the " The Auckland Brokers' Association."
