With reference to the natic-eg selling their cattle and goods at a sacrifice, the Herald gives instances, and mentions that J. Dingle of New.. Plymouth, bought 20 head of large cattle from the natives for £40, or £2 per head for full-grown cattle : and Captain Martyn of Manaia, and Mr Humphrey Bajley bought 70 horses .fronL the natives for £50, and they have sold a building formerly used as a Maori chapel, ploughs, and other tilings to raise money.
The steamer Tui, which went ashore at Waitara, has been repaired and left for Wellington this morning. Captain Bendall was on board.
The new steamer Macgregor arrived at Wailara this morning.
