It has been arranged that the meeting re the Big Pump will agree to continue pumping operations till January.
A fire at Ponsonby destroyed a eleven roomed house occupied by G. S. Jakins, and the adjoining house owned and occupied by Mr Martelli. Insurances— Jakins, £700 on building ; £300 on furniture in the Koyal. Harris on (damaged) building £25U, and £200 on furniture in the Boval, and MartejK uninsured.
4ln the Supreme Court true bills were found against E. Stehr, for larceny; and Samuel Keep, defacing coinage. The Court is occupied with the charge of larceny against ltiri, a native, and not yet finished.
