Welsingtok, Yesterday.

The Council met at 2 30. The Property Tax Bill and the New Zealand Consolidated Stock Bills were read a first, time. Mr Wilson moved that the Totes of Mr Hart, Mr Dignan, and Mr Johnson, on the Eailway Construction Bill should be disallowed on the ground of their being per*

sonally interested in the bill, —The motion was negatived by 22 to 7. The Property Assessment Amendment Bill, Divorce aud Mulrimonial Cause Bill, and Corrupt Practices Prevention Bill were read a third time and passed.

On the Hon Mr Whitaker's motion, the Deceased Persons Estate Duties Bill was reinstated, read a third time, and passed. Tho Council adjourned from 3 35 till 7 30.
