[By Tkleobaph.]
(FBOM OTJB SPECIAL COBBEBPONDKNT.) Wellikgton, This day. An indication that the session is drawing to a close was furnished yesterday by the departure from the capital of several members of Parliament by the s.s. Eotomahana yesterday afternoon. Sbe took gftgyHQoapt others the Hon. Mr Richardson andiknfifoJMr Vincent Pyke,' Mr Montgomery, and Afr^Allwriitht. . There was a petition prcSgflfgd-tfr-fee. Legislative Council yesterday from 1362 residents in the city and provincial district of Nelson praying that the Representation Bill be not allowed to become law.
After the defeat of the Government on the amendment proposed by Grey providing that no elector shall in respect of this or any other Act vote tor in more than tiro electorates, the probability is that the Government will now withdraw the .Representation Bill altogether.
