The Premier's Programme.
(Pee P&ess Association.)
[By Telegraph.]
Wellington, This day,
Id'the House to-day, the Hon Mr Hall announced that Government would, for the session, abandon with regret the | Charitable Aid. Bill, and also the Crown and .Native Lands Hating Bill, lioad Construction Bill, Sbarebrokers' Act Bepeal Bill, and the Patent Act Amendment Bills. A proposal had been made to refer the Corrupt 'Practices Bill to a Select Committee, and to morrow he would announce what he intended to do with the Public Works Act Amendment Bill, and Companies Act Amendment Bill. These Bills were likely to give rise to so much discussion that there was very little hope of passing them, but if there was not much opposition he would try to pass the Fisheries and Friendly Societies Bill, and also the Town District and Counties Act Amendment Bill if possible. The other Consolidation Bills he thought might be passed in morning sittings, and if members would summarise their remarks, the Estimates might begot through this week, and the prorogation take place about the middle of next week.
