COUNTY COUNCIL.

The usual monthly meeeting of the above Council was held this afternoon in the Council Chambers, Pollen street, Cr Carpenter in the Chair. Crs Bagnall, Bull.Coutts, Deeble, Porter, and Thorburn were also present. The outward correspondence was read over, and the other business of the Council was then gone into. Letters irom Meissrs Adams and Greenville, applying for the surplus water from the big race, which at present was allowed to flow down the Karaka Creek. The former offered £3 per week, and the latter £6.—Referred to the Water Race Committee. [Left (Sitting.]
