' j Saturday. .At the first regular monthly meeting; of the: "Land; Ho Assooiation held in Lytteiton last evening; 'the following resolutions affirming the principles of the Association were passed:—First: That the present sjstem of freehold land tenure is unjust, as it confers gratuitously upon indiTiduals the result of the combined labor. Second: That the only just system of land tenure is statepwnership, and the system of leases with limitation of area. Third : That;' ut the expiration of a lease the old tenant should hare the, priority or ample compensation for buildings and improvements.' The Association is formed to promote an agitation for the repurchase by the State of 'all freehold properties. ' ' '
