A public meeting held here condemned the Representation Bill, especially with regard, to the abolition of the Tolari district.
A heavy gale has been blowing for the last 48 hours, accompanied by rain. A subscription has been started to recoup Sir Julius Vogel the amount he paid out of his own pocket to the civil servants.
