in the House to-day Mr Maeandrew gave notice of a motion in favor of Insular Separation, each Island to be a Province with a Legislature of its own, composed of the members of the House of Representatives tor each Island; such Legislature to elect a President to be the chief executive officer, each local legislation to have full powers to provide for peace, order, and good government, and to legislate on all but 12 prescribed subjects.' The present Assembly to continue for the whole colony to deal with the subjects of raising loans, etc. The waste lands of each Island to be vested in Local Legislatures.

A bill is to be introduced within one week after the meeting of next Parliament to give effect to his resolution.
