COUNTY COUNCIL.

The usual monthly meeting of the County Council was held this afternoon. Present: Crs Brodie (in the chair), Car« penter, Deeble, Coutts, Thorburn, Brown and Bagnall.

The minutes were read and confirmed and a precis of the outward correspondence read over.

A number of letters were read, among them being several applications for help to repair damage done by the flood.

The surveyor's report was very lengthy and Have a very full account of the damage done by the flood and the repairs necessary.

The Board of Works report dealt with a number of matters referred to them at last meeting.
