MINING COMPANY MEETING.
A meeting of the shareholders of the Waihi and Waitete (Limited) holdings was held yesterday at the office of Mr F. A. White. It was decided to form a company of 30,000 shares, nil paid up. 6000 shares have been given for the erection of a 20 head battery. Messrs 0. J. Stone, C. C. McMillan, C. Alexander, Adam Porter, W. Tregarth, and H. It. Jones were elected directors. It was decided that no shares will be issued till those given for the battery are disposed of. 5000 shares have been reserved for the purchase of adjoining claims. Messrs Porter and Jones were authorised to decide on the battery site and the future workings of the company's property, which consists of 62 men's ground, situated at Waihi. The ground is on the same line of reef as the Martha, and the reef has been cut in several places in the company's ground, and has yielded good prospects. No time will be lost in pushing on with the battery.
