COROMANDEL MINING NEWS.

Success;— Mine Manager's 'Report:~ Since my last report I. have-obtained' about three ounces of the usual class of gold. The reef is little broken at present owing to a cross leader having come in. I intend to keep going ahead if possible for air till both reefs come together, as' I expect to find. something good there. If I cannot continue to go ahead,.! shall start the rise at once. The survey of.the mine is not completed yet owing to the bad weather. : Matawai Gr.M.C—I visited this mine on the ilth July, and am much pleased with its position. I cannot see how this property can miss JBlackmore's flat leader, unless it is cut off- by the big reef close to Blackmore's boundary. The contractor in this mine has finished his contract, but I instructed him to continue on 25 feet more. They are cutting through the first leader now, and it is a nice body of stone.
