Sudden Death at Paeroa.
Sergt. Russell arrived this'morning from Paeroa in the steamer Vivid, bringing with him the body of a man named William Carrol, who met his death under the following cirpumstances :—^Deceased, who was until lately a resident of the Thames, had been working on the Komata Road under Mr N. Kenuy. A few days ago he became unwell, and the day before yes' terday proceeded to Paeroa, with the intention of coming on to the Thames. He went to the All Nations Hotel* where every attention was paid him. He was working in the yard of the hotel yesterday, but left what he was doing and went to his room, where he fell down, and shortly afterwards died. The body lay at Paeroa til}, this morning, when it was brought to the Thames, and an inquesf was held op it this afternoon, at half past two o'clock, in the old Court House, tihortland, before H. genrick, Esq., Coroner. The deceased leaves a wiie and five children, who are at present living in Burke street. The cause of death if supposed to be heart disease.
