This day
The shipment of cheese by the ship Orari to England turned out to, be a failure. The result is attributed to various causes, such as defects in the cheese itself, the construction of the chamber, etc., great care too was exercised in packing, a special chamber being built for the purpose.
The schooner Oamaru, from Hokianga, reports having passed on Monday uight, about 15 miles east of Steven's Island, what was evidently a. large schooner bottom up.
