In reply to a question it was stated Government would during the session intimate its intentions regarding- the abandonment of Native Lands purchases. Messrs Seed and Batkiri'^ Civil Sefride report on the Middle Island was not^yet received.
Sir George Grey introduced a Ml) to regulate the admissiou of persons to prac* iS . tice in Courts of Law, and a bill to provide that in elections for the House of Representatives each elector shall be entitled to vote in one electorate only. Mr McDonald a bill to amend the Native Land Act.
