SCARLET FEVER.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)

Sib, —I am informed that one of our medical gentlemen has reported that children who have only just risen from scarlet fever, and their skin peeling off. are permitted to attend a certain school on the Thames. Now, sir, in the school this medical gentleman referred to. there is only one pupil in attendance who has lately beea afflicted with this disease, and "in'-this case the doctor pronounced all danger over, and said the child might attend school. Before any such statements should be made, our medical gentleman should be in a position to verify his statement. I think more pnnic is caused amongst the.'inhabitants of the Thames in the above manner, than real danger.—l am, &c, ";-..- Vjsbitas.
