(Before H. Kenriok, Esq., K.jVI.) LEYDON Y. lAMB.
Claim, £25 9s 3d, goods supplied. John Leydou deposed that he knew the defendant, who had given him an order on the Bank of New v Zealaud for the amount which was returned, there not being sufficient funds to pay it. He had supplied the goods to Lawrence on the strength of the endorsement of the bill by defendant. Lawrence had since sent him £2 on account. Lawrence signed the note, and defendant indorsed it.
Judgment for £23 9s 3d, and costs, £2 19s.
Court adjourned.
