(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Bib,~l saw in the Advertiser a local mentioning the possibility^- of a rifle match between the Thames Scottish and Engineers. No doubt it is necessary for the officer commanding the latter corps to bestir himself, and a,match with the; Scottish would surely bring the Engineers into prominence. •If they won the match, it would be a feather in their cap ; if they, lb«t, there would still be the honor of competing, with the Scottish Cqrps, Oft the 35 VESitinoers Who opposed the samenumber of Scottish in 1877, seven remain,! tiz,Captain Small, Sfrgeants/Melfltyre.
