Thb debate upon ,tKe Charitable Aid Bill of the Government occupied the time of the House last evening. There appears a great.far^ety of opinions upon tbie sqbject, only one member, Mr,Pitt, Appearing to strike at the proper sblutioq of the question,, namely, to make all such costs a charge upon the consolidated reyense of the,country. The Bill as prepared by Mr Hill i» sure to be greatly modified in Committee, if it passes at all. The idea of Mr Swaasdo to devote the fees from the. liquor traffic to the maintenance of Charitable Institutions, Lunatic 4-.syluals < Ac, is not a bad one. . . : :
