1 '; "This morning, at 10 o'cloctv the long talked of rifle match came off between teams of the Waikato Caralry and Thames Scottish. P.O. Potts was in charge of the targets and gave erery satisfaction, Sergt. Cloutt, Engineers, and • Corp. Anderson, Scottish, kept the scores; and Colonel Murray and Lieut. Johnson captained the respeetiye teams. The match resulted in a yictory for the local team by 89pts. ,At the termination reciprocal cheers were ; giyen: by the teams. The following are the scores: —■
