Paris, June 13. It is announced that M. Rousfcon, at present Consul-General for France in Tunis, will be invested with the supreme control of Tunisian foreign relations in terms of the Treaty made with the Bey. London, Jane 13. The following diplomatic appointments are officially announced:—Hon. L. S. Sackville West, British Minister at Madrid, will succeed the Right Hon. Sir E.Thornton at Washin«tjn; Mr R. B. D. Morrie, C.8., Minister at Lisbon, will replace the Hon. Sackville West at Madrid ; and Sir 0. L. Wyke, G.K.M., G.K.C.8., now Minister at Copenhagen, will succeed Mr Morrier as Minister to Portugal. News has been receired that twelve Italian explorers have been massacred by natives in the interior of Egypt. London, June 12. Earl Kituberly, Secretary of State for the Colonies, has consented to receive a deputation from loyalist Boers in the Transvaal. Pabis, June 12. The race for the Grand Prix was run this afternoon, and resulted in a victory for Foxball, Tristan 2, Albion 3. TEA FOR NEW ZEALAND. Foochow, June 13. The steamship Bo wen, with a cargo of new seasons tea will sail for New Zealand direct from this port.
