OUR MINES.
NEW GOLDEN CROWN. Cleaning up for the month eventuated today, the yield being 3200z 8 gold from 300 tons of dirt. The mine continues to look well, parcels of picked stone coming to hand daily from Herival s leader and other portions. The contractors' drive at the lower level is still in tight country. OLD GOLDEN CALF. In the stopes at the No. 2 level, a con aiderable quantity of nice looking, quartz Is being broken, dabs of gold being seen frequently in the stene. In the driving operations at Ho. 3. the reef is bounded by a nice* workable sandstone, and the quartz looks well for gold. GOLD RETURNS. Waiotahi.— Monthly retorting produced 26(Sois3dwts gold—the yield of 220 tons from all parti of the mine. .
