;**fc/ Constantinople, May 17. /Aid Murderers of A"bul Aziz. An enquiry has been held into the Joaafe^sion of Four domestics of the Tcherazin Palace, that th^y were concerned in the murder of the Sultan, Abdul Azix, in 1876. The evidence adducedthas led to the accusation of Midhat Pacha, (who whs Gr.md Vizier at the time ot the JSulUfl's death) of complicity in- the crime. An Imperial decree has bees accordingly.^issued , deposing Midhat Pacha from the position he occupies a* j&OTernor of Smyrna, and ordering his arrest. The news has, however, since been received from Smyrna to the effect that Midhat Pacha has fled from the city

Later intelligence has been receired by Government from Smyrna that Midhat Pacha lias not, as at first stated, fled from tl^e city, but taken refuge to the French Consulate, and has appealed to the French and other Foreign*' Consuls for protection from arrest b| the Turkish mthb|ities.. - - vlidndon, May;i^
