A Ministerial bill has been introduced by the Right Hon Mr Gladstone, provid ing that all persons who aie permitted to affirm in courts of law should be authorised to make an affirmation on their entry into Parliament, in place of the enstpmary path of allegiance. The Proposed Monument to Earl Beaconsfleld. Mr Labouchew, M.P. for Northampton, has given notice, in the House of Commons, of a motion' condemning the proposal to be submitted shortly by the -Premier, that funds should be toted for the erection of a monument to the late Earl of Beaconsfield in Westminster Abbey. I London, May 3. Arrest of Mr Dillan, M.P, Mr John .Dillan, M.P. for Tipperary, and one of the chief agitators of the Land I saguei has been arrested in Ireland on a warrant issued by the Viceroy under the Coercion Act.
