AUCKLAND.
. Yesterday. A Successful Baaaar. The late Auckland Catholic Bazaar and Art Union realised £1300. Mr Superintendent Thomson has received a telegram stating that a destructive firehasT taken place amongst the Pencourt (Maclean and Co.'s) property neaif Cambridge, on Saturday night. Incendiarism is suspected. The Superintendent despatched a detective at once. The report of Mrßlackett, Chief Engi.! neer, upon the big dock was received by the Harbour Board in favour of Calliope Point. The body of Drummond, drowned on Sunday week has been found. At an inquest a verdict of accidentally drowned waei returned. The Duke of Manchester will be entertaimed at the Northern Club to-night.
