The length of such race is two hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south. The mean breadth and depth of such race is 2ft. by 9in., and it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is two. A PPLIOATION has been made by John XV Pepper for ~ a License to construct a Water Baoe for' gold mining purpose* at Tapu Greek, commencing at.a point on the North bank of the said creek, about six chains from the south-east corner of the Bainbow Claim, and terminating at the junction of No. 8 branch of Tapu Creek, at Waipatokahu t No. 4 Block, on the north bank of the oreek as shewn on plan lodged, with the application. The length of such Race is twenty-seren chains or thereabouts, mad its intended course is along the north bank of the Waipatukahu or Tapu Creek. The mean depth and breadth of such race is three feet by two feet,, it is capable of carrying fire sluice heads of water, and the number uf sluice heads of 40 inches each which it is intended to appropriate is llTe. ■ - NO'IIGB js therefore gifen, that on MONDAY the 30th day of May, 1881, a License may be granted to the above-named John Peppertfor the said.
