The annual meeting of shareholders of the Alburnia G.M. Company was held yesterday, in Auckland, Thos. Macffarlane Esp. (Chairman of Directors), presiding. The report submitted showed the quantity of quartz crushed to be 4,684 tons of ordinary stone and 6000lbs of specimen stone, producing -83270zs 12dwta of gold, of the value of £21,620 4s 4d ; out of this sum £11,000' or £1 7s 6d per share had been paid in dividends. During tkeM&r quarter of the year the quartz raised was not up to the average quality, and this fact, added to the scarcity of water for crushing purposes, caused the returns to fall off considerably.. The directors are satisfied that Mr Radford continues to exert all his energies to further the the Companys interests in every way. The directors recommend the appropriation of an honorarium amounting to £250 for tb» Board for the current year. The balance sheet showed receipts £26,848 3s 7d expenditure £26,672 19s; balance in hand, £175 4s 9J. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, lne chairman mentioned that a workman named Ensor, in the Company had had his eye sight destroyed by an accident, and had been incapacitated for further service since the date ot ttte accident, the directors paying him fcl a week. This action was approved, and it was resolved to continue the payment tor another year. The retiring (Mr Howard) was re-elected, and Mr White was re^mppointed aoditor.
