Sir, —I notice in the Advertiser of this morning a sketch of the birth and life of Sir George Grey; taken from the Sydney Mail, in which appears the usual error of spelling his name as well as his father's, with the c instead of an a. Sir" George Grey's father was half brother to the late Lieut.-Colonel Gray, of the: 40th Regiment, residing during, the latter years of his life at Wynnestead, East Tamaki, and he could never understand why the spelling of the family name should have been altered.
