AUCKLAND

This day

The quarterly meeiiig of the Auckland district of the Ancient Order of Foresters was held last evening in Panmure. Delsgates were present i\ ?m the Thames and Auckland Courts. The recent amendments to the new district laws having been assented to by the revising barrister, it was resolved- that the amendments be embodied in the present laws. Thirty pounds funeral benefits were ordered to be paid, and the management levy was fixed at sixpence. The -motion for the appointment of special auditors was lost. The next mtei-ing is to be held at Onehuuga. A large amount of routine business was-transacted, and the meeting closed after sitting for six hours.
