HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT. NOIICE UNDER SECTIONS 41 AND 84 OF " THE GOLD MINING DISTRICTS ACT, 1873." Warden's Office, Thames, • . 27th April, 188.1. A PPLIOATION has been made by John 11. Pepper for a License to construct a Water Race for gold mining purposes at Tapu Creek, commencing-at a point on the North bank of the said creek, about six chains from the south-east corner of the Rainbow Claim, and terminating atithe junction of No. 3 branch of Tapu Creek, at Waipatukahu No; 4 Block, on the north bank, of the creek as shewn on plan lodged with the application. The length of such/Race is twenty-seven ohains or thereabouts, and its intended comae is along the north bank of the Waipatukahu or Tapu Creek. The mean depth and breadth of such race is ihree feet by two feet, it is capable of carrying five sluice heads of water, and the number of eluice heads of 40 inches each which it is intended to appropriate is'five. NOIICE is therefore given, that on MONDAY the 30th day of May, 1881, a License may be granted to the above-named John Pepper for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing nnd lodged at this Office not less than seven clear days before that date.
