MANAGER'S REPORTS.

- Caiedojjia'n.—^-The manager's report is as follows:—I have takea down about 10 feet of No. 2 reef in winze No. 3 level. It is about 3 feet 6 inches in width. The banging wall portion, about one foot in thickness, is almost a mass of mineral; the other portion is composed of a bluish quartz, end well mineralized, but there has been no gold seen in it. I have the whole that be.B been broken down now in the hopper, awaitiD.^ an opfortunity to evTxah v it.TheN6 2. reef, No. 1 level crosscut, bas. been gone into eight feet in the rcof of-the drive. It ia still very hard cad troublesome. It is charged with good minerals, and now in the face the quartz is getting blacker, which is rot a bad indication; The quarlz which has been broken from this reef has a kindly apJearance, though no gold has been seen, believe it carries gold, whether in payable quantities or not, I shall prove by sending a trial to the mil as scon as possible. I have had some very dangerous work clearing Herivel's old passes, which have been fiUed by the Golden Crown with very large rocks of sandstone and old timber. The men hare to go against it and take it out by hand, which is very slow work. I think it will take pratty much of nest week before I shall be able tj siart there properly.
