Good News from Waihi..
Mr Thomas Morton, who arrived from Waihi this afternoon, brings the encouraging intelligence that the prospectors are taking out quartz worth two ounces per ton from their low level. He likewise says that Mr E. B. Fraser, who is one of the parties who proposed erecting the battery, is now perfectly satisfied, and a start will shortly be made with the mill. Mr H. E. Jones proceeded to the goldfield this afternoon. The shareholders of the various claims here are in high spirits. . -
