(says the Bruce Herald) that children reared soleiy on milk are practically total abstainers throughout life from all intoxic-nts. The estimated ralue of the Melbourne Public Library and Picture Gallery is £500,000. A conference of the Rooinn Catholic clergy of the diocese has been held in Dunedin, all the clergy of Otago and Southland ha.?ing been in attendance, -
