The report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society for the past year has been issued. It shows that 9623 proposals for life assurances were submitted during the year, 6551 being accepted assuring £2,181,258. New premiums amount to £74,666. Claims have arisen on 261 policies, amounting to £121,413. The accumulated funds of the Society now amount to £3,379,510, being au increase of £445,713 compared "with the previous year.
