The Parawai Petitions.
The enquiry into the genuineness of the signatures to the counter-petition to that praying for -the incorporation of Parawai with the Borough will", be' held at an early date before Mr Kenrick. It appears that with very few exceptions the whole of the signatures to this petition are pronounced by the Borough folks to be either of persons not qualified to sign, non-residents, or forgeries of other persons. These are rather sweeping assertions to make, but such we hare heard expressed.
