Te Awamuttt, This day.
We arrived here last night at seven, being joined by several members of the Auckland Companies on the way up, and two or three Coromandelites. The camp is pleasantly situated on a large flat meadow, and the tents being arranged in order have a pleasing effect. Tent squads being told off and sentries posted, the Volunteers betook themselves to town.
; The reveille sounded at 4 o'clock this morning, and after breakfast there was one hour's sharp battalion drill. All were tnecTdlsmissed for the day. ""
Sports provided by tbe Cavahy will now take place, one of the events being a horse race, cavalry horses with infantry riders. About 300 men are now in camp, and the accommodation is splendid.
