At the opening of the Supreme Court this morning, the Jury returned a verdict of " acquittal of Procoffi." It is rumoured there were nine jurymen favourable {,0 the acquittal from a point in Sergt. Mulville's evidence. Two yielded subsequently, and only one he'd out till this morning.
The prisoner was greatly agitated, and crossed himself to Judge, jury, and spectators, and then_clasped his hands in an atti-nde-of prayer. ... ~ ' \ The Maories are vevy " dark " over his acquittal.
