WELLINGTON
This day
Hearn, of Wellington, has accepted the challenge of A. White, of Mercury Bay, to row a match in Wellington for £100 a-side, on a course not to be less than 3 miles in the straight. £25 is to be allowed White for his expense if he is beaten.
The College Governors to-day unanimously appointed Mr Joseph Mackay, M.A.,, of Aberdeen, now and for twelve years resident und mathematical master of Nelson College, to be principal of Wellington College.
