Taranaki Cup, 2 miles—Libeller, 9st, 1; Hailstorm, 9st 4ibs, 2; Endymion, 9st 41bs, 3. There were 294 subscribers in the totalisator, and 103 on the winner. At the end of a mile and a-half Libeller was called on, and responded brilliantly. An exciting race ensued between him and Hailstorm, and after a neck-&nd-neck race, Libeller won by a length.
