Fire.

At about eleven o'clock to-day, a two roomed cottage situated in the spur between the Moanatairi and Kuranui was observed to be on fire. It was occupied by an old man named Moyle, who was absent at the time, and whose household effects were saved from the flames by the timely arrival of neighbours. Nothing could be done to check the progress of the flames, and the building was soon a heap of ashes. -
